Qwikmix™ Block Joint Adhesive Cement based mortar designed for laying aerated light weight concrete blocks, Fly Ash Bricks and Cement Blocks.

Mixing procedure:

• Mix product with the required amount clean water
• Mix thoroughly with a mechanical mixer or manually until mixture is homogeneous
• Allow mixture to stand for 10 minutes for the additives to dissolve
• Mix again and the plaster is ready for use
• Using adhesive, vertical joints are to be filled with adhesive
• Apply joint adhesive on the top side of the first course and next combined with a notched trowel
• Place block onto mortar surface and press firmly to adjust blocks to their final position
• The blocks to be water cured before the block joint adhesive

Application:

• After making the necessary setting up works, install first course of blocks using cement mortar. Vertical joints are too filled with Joint Adhesive
• Apply Joint Adhesive onto the top side of the first course and next combed with a tooth-edged spatula
• Place block onto adhesive surface and press firmly to adjust blocks to their final position
• For the vertical joint, it is recommended to apply the adhesive onto the vertical side prior to laying.
• To ensure good adhesion, it is important that the blocks are pressed firmly against the adhesive bed
• No further addition of water is allowed to unused adhesive that has exceeded its pot life or had begun to set

Storage and packing:

• Joint Mortar is delivered in 40Kg bags. Storage life is 6 months if product is kept in sheltered and dry place
