Pipes

Multilayer pipes in the KAN-therm Press System are available in two types, identical in design, but differing in the type of base pipe – PE-RT/Al/PE-HD (PE-RT/Al/PE-RT) pipes (diameter range Æ14–40 mm), as well as PE-X/Al/PE-X (Æ50–63 mm).

Multilayer pipes consist of the following layers:

  • inner layer (base pipe) made of PE-RT (or PE-X) with high temperature resistance,
  • middle layer in the form of an ultrasonic butt-welded aluminum strip
  • outer layer of high density polyethylene (PE-HD, PE-RT or PE-X).

Between the aluminum and the polyethylene layers is an adhesive bonding layer that securely bonds the metal to the polyethylene.

Pipes in the KAN-therm Press System in the entire range of diameters are present in one type of pressure.
When using fittings of the new generation Press LBP, homogeneous polyethylene pipes from the KAN-therm Push System can also be connected to the KAN-therm Press System.
The KAN-therm Press system offers two types of polyethylene pipes with approximate operating parameters – PE-RT (type II) in the range of diameters 16×2.0 and 20×2.0, as well as PE-Xc in the range of diameters 16×2.0 20×2.0 and 25×2, 3.
